What If some other religion sticks to the criteria that Jws claim as proof they are ‘only true religion’?

As shown below if that is all it takes, and the Seven Day Adventist, and the Christedelphinians vary on one or two issues,

How can they presume so much? That God is pleased only with them, their criteria does not make them pure, they have many errors in their MENUTIA of REVEALED KNOWLEDGE ......

Whats with the superiority complex???

The "Watchtower" is simply a magazine.

Do you mean the "organisation of Jehovah's Witnesses"?
Then Yes.

Jehovah has placed Jesus as the Head of the congregation. God would not use a group of people who hold on to pagan doctrines and practices like the Trinity, immortality of the soul, idolatry, Christmas, Easter, etc. God has ALWAYS insisted that his people keep their worship pure.

Jehovah has always used ONE UNITED GROUP of worshipers in the past.

(Sorry, but it is relevant) Noah and ONE ark
ONE nation of Israel
ONE Christian congregation

In each case, if anyone wanted to receive God's approval, they had to COME and JOIN God's established group.

People had to come to join Noah in the Ark.
Proselytes had to come join the nation of Israel.
Jews and Gentiles had to come join the Christian congregation.

Jehovah has never used the "one man for his own" method.

Identifying marks of true worshippers in Jesus' day:
- They did not join the military and politics
- They did not join in Emperor worship (equivalent of today's flag salute)
- They did not eat blood
- They obeyed the laws of Caesar
- They preached from house to house and in public places
- They avoided all forms of idolatry, immorality and greed.
- They were known for their love for each other.

I'll get you quotes for the above statements in a jiffy.
==================
1) They avoided war and politics

“Early Christianity was little understood and was regarded with little favor by those who ruled the pagan world. . . . Christians refused to share certain duties of Roman citizens. . . . They would not hold political office.”—On the Road to Civilization, A World History (Philadelphia, 1937), A. Heckel and J. Sigman, pp. 237, 238.

“The Christians stood aloof and distinct from the state, as a priestly and spiritual race, and Christianity seemed able to influence civil life only in that manner which, it must be confessed, is the purest, by practically endeavouring to instil more and more of holy feeling into the citizens of the state.”—The History of the Christian Religion and Church, During the Three First Centuries (New York, 1848), Augustus Neander, translated from German by H. J. Rose, p. 168.

2) No Emperor worship

“Christians refused to . . . sacrifice to the emperor’s genius—roughly equivalent today to refusing to salute the flag or repeat the oath of allegiance. . . . Very few of the Christians recanted, although an altar with a fire burning on it was generally kept in the arena for their convenience. All a prisoner had to do was scatter a pinch of incense on the flame and he was given a Certificate of Sacrifice and turned free. It was also carefully explained to him that he was not worshiping the emperor; merely acknowledging the divine character of the emperor as head of the Roman state. Still, almost no Christians availed themselves of the chance to escape.”—Those About to Die (New York, 1958), D. P. Mannix, pp. 135, 137.

“The act of emperor worship consisted in sprinkling a few grains of incense or a few drops of wine on an altar which stood before an image of the emperor. Perhaps at our long remove from the situation we see in the act nothing different from . . . lifting the hand in salute to the flag or to some distinguished ruler of state, an expression of courtesy, respect, and patriotism. Possibly a good many people in the first century felt just that way about it but not so the Christians. They viewed the whole matter as one of religious worship, acknowledging the emperor as a deity and therefore being disloyal to God and Christ, and they refused to do it.”—The Beginnings of the Christian Religion (New Haven, Conn.; 1958), M. F. Eller, pp. 208, 209.

3)They did not eat blood

Tertullian (c. 160-230 C.E.): “Let your unnatural ways blush before the Christians. We do not even have the blood of animals at our meals, for these consist of ordinary food. . . . At the trials of Christians you [pagan Romans] offer them sausages filled with blood. You are convinced, of course, that the very thing with which you try to make them deviate from the right way is unlawful for them. How is it that, when you are confident that they will shudder at the blood of an animal, you believe they will pant eagerly after human blood?”—Tertullian, Apologetical Works, and Minucius Felix, Octavius (New York, 1950), translated by Emily Daly, p. 33.

Minucius Felix (third century C.E.): “So much do we shrink from human blood, that we do not use the blood even of eatable animals

I will take one point from an academic viewpoint.

May people today still view Jews as God's chosen people. They feel they never lost that status even with the rejection of Jesus as the Christ. That is why they say that the 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 7 and 14 are natural Jews. Also many still think that the political nation of Israel has to be in some way protected to allow God's will to be done, the Temple rebuilt, or some other religious significance tied in with that location.

Most will express that the Israelites from the past, starting with Jacob and his sons down to Moses, then on to Jesus' day were God's chosen people. They were entrusted with the holy writings we call the "Old Testament". They had prophets who spoke to them AND neighboring nations.

AND YET, look at the candor the Bible presents of the nation of Israel. They committed gross sins, they trusted in military might of foreign nations, they sacrificed their children to false gods, they killed prophets who spoke in Jehovah's name, they built alters and carved false gods, etc.

But were they cast off as God's chosen people? Not until the days of Jesus. Yes they were seriously punished or disciplined for things they did. But the sinning did not remove their status of being a chosen people was not removed immediately for their error.

It was only when they went beyond repair that they were cast off.

So the apostle Paul pointed out in Romans 3:1, 2 in spite of this "colorful past" -

"What then is the superiority of the Jew?...A great deal in every way. First, of all, because they were entrusted with the sacred pronouncements of God."

Did some Jews develop a superiority complex? Obviously some of the Pharisees and scribes. But many of the common people did not and they were receptive to Jesus' teachings.

So to say that a religion has to have a superiority complex just because they see that the majority of what they teach and believe is from the Bible is incorrect. They can have superior beliefs because they are from the Bible, but that does not mean they have a superiority complex.

Jehovah wanted everyone on earth to serve him and be his people but they made for themselves false gods and worshipped them. They and their offspring would set up temples and have festivals to false Gods.

Only one group stuck to Jehovah. It was the The Israelites. But even they kept vacillating between true worship and pagan dieties.

Then Jehovah sent Jesus to earth to round up all humans for worship to Jehovah. The Jews wanted Jesus killed. So God finally gave up on them as a nation.

He said he would take out of the nations a people for his name and they would be witnesses of him to the most distant parts of the earth.

Who do you know that obeys Jehovah God as closely as Jehovah’s Witnesses?

They strive every day to do all he asks of them.

He is their God and they are his people. But in Matthew we are told as he told Jesus to go to all the nations for a witness to all the peoples to tell them the same message Jesus was commissioned to tell.

That God will set up a heavenly Kingdom and put and end to ALL earthly rulerships.

No one can fight this…The outcome has already been established.

Jesus and the Angels will battle with Satan and the demons and Jesus will abyss the Evil ones.

then after 1000 years destroy them once and for all time.

Peace and security will be the norm. …forever.

  3. So….. What is the question?????????????

Lets see, if everybody just did one of the things that JWs do, like staying neutral, and not fight each other in war. What kind of world would we live in? Huuummm…………

  4. There is no other religion that sticks to the criteria that Jehovah’s Witnesses use to prove they are the one true religion. Jesus said, " A good tree does not bear bad fruit." False religions are false prophets and are compared to rotten trees bearing bad fruits. Jehovah’s Witness are the only good tree that does not bear bad fruit.

For a list of bad fruits go to http://www.counterfeitchristians.info

Seventh Day Adventist worship a triune God…a common God.

Christadelphians claim Jehovah inhabited Jesus at birth and that Jesus did not exist before coming to earth.

"superiourity complex?" Huh? I’m sorry, but are you saying that you think Jehovah’s Witnesses believe we are BETTER than other people?

Quite the contrary. There is nothing that we have that we did not receive. We are a very humble people. We know that all glory and honor belongs to Jehovah God and not to men.

What we HAVE received however is pretty wonderful. It is truth from the Bible. Pure, holy, logical and wonderful truth. If we had a "superiourity complex" we wouldn’t bother sharing it with everyone we can. We want everyone to know what we have learned because it is wonderful and people who do accept it become happier people as a result. We believe the Bible to be true, we study it and learn what it says and we share that knowledge with EVERYONE who will listen. How does that equate to "superiourity?" It takes genuine humility to go to your neighbors and share with them a message that you KNOW will make their lives better if they will listen, but which many don’t want to hear. Proud or haughty people could NEVER do the work we do. It is much too often a cause for us to be ridiculed and made fun of. Humble people don’t mind a little ridicule. but haughty "surperiour" people couldn’t stand it.
